Reaction Paper on the

 State of the Nation Address (SONA) 2012

July 23, 2012- Third State of the Nation Address of President Benigno Aquino III. Just like his last two SONA’s he uses the Tagalog language that will be considered as a good strategy on reaching the Filipino people which happens to be is subordinates. With this the viewers will easily understand what he is trying to imply, I personally appreciate it.

Accomplishments and changes on the last two years of his leadership have been compared to the past administration. Changes in the economy, education, infrastructure, tourism and other sectors.  He also mentioned the decreasing crime rate in the Philippines, improvement on railways and roads.

I personally like the idea as a student of the fact that he mentioned about the support in education, that he will a lot an amount for this sector and that there are no anomalies behind that sector. In this, there is an implication that he gives importance to this. Education as one factor of the economy to where we really have to give importance.  

The president mentioned some members of his administration who have good performance for their term, what they did and how well they are. Their name has even pointed out and that’s considered as compliment, considering the fact that it is on the SONA to where the whole country is watching. For me, it is one way of the president to persuade the members of his administration to work well on their designated job.    

The president is still on the process of proving to the Filipinos that we are on the right way, that we did not made mistake when we decided to vote for him. It’s a good thing that in every SONA that he had he have something to show and to share with us including his plans for the next years of his administration.

As one of the concerned citizen of this country, I want to support our president on the good things that he wants for this country. He is the president and that is one fact that we can never change. Let’s look forward to the positive side that is happening in our country. Maybe there are unexpected negative things that are happening, but we must not focus on that, but instead let us join hand to stand up and prove that Filipino’s are great people with unity who can build name on its own. As what Pnoy said “ nangingibabaw na an liwanag”.
